Extra-large holidays are set to increase as Brits invite an anchor of friends and family away with them, new research has revealed. Over 70% of UK adults say the events of the past 18 months have made them re-evaluate what is really important. In addition to this, over 60% said missing out on seeing family members in 2020 or 2021 has left them feeling keen to make up for lost time.

COVID-19 has driven a surge in outdoor activities within the UK as people have taken to green spaces and reconnected with nature. The pandemic has forced people to interact with familiar surroundings in new ways and heightened our appreciation of local parks, cycling routes and waterfalls.
During the first coronavirus lockdown, many people filled their free time with exercising close to home as travel restrictions limited other leisure activities.

Does your holiday wardrobe favour trainers and hiking boots over swimwear and flip flops? The good news is that you don’t have to travel to the end of the earth to get your adrenaline kicks. The UK has lots of natural landscapes that are ideal for outdoor adventures and sports, from sandy beaches and nature trails, to a bundle of stunning national parks. So, whether it’s Canyoning in the stunning Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Surfing in Cornwall or Rock Climbing in the Lake District, you can find any outdoor excursion imaginable right here.
If you’re feeling adventurous after all that time spent indoors, go on, jump right in!
As restrictions are easing, organised outdoor activities are now able to take place, alongside overnight stays for groups of six or two households. Hospitality venues can also reopen indoors as well as organised indoor sport.
Despite the restrictions easing, it is important to stay cautious and meet people outdoors as much as possible.
We’re open for business and the first groups back have all told us they’ve had a great time. Good to know we haven’t become rusty and lost our touch!

Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us.
Here in Wales, wooden love spoons are carved and given as gifts on Valentine’s Day.
Hearts, keys and keyholes are favourite Valentine decorations on the wooden spoons. These symbols meant the heart would be unlocked for love.

Holiday firms are reporting a spike in bookings from people aged 50+ ‘Silver Tourists’ since the Covid-19 vaccination rollout began.
Currently, travel for leisure & tourism is banned due to lockdown rules. However, the launch of Covid jabs has led some people who are prioritised for the vaccine to book long awaited trips!
Even though we’re spending our Winter period in lockdown, we’re already taking bookings for family adventure breaks from April 2021. Needless to say… we’ll be delighted to welcome you back!
We have a range of activity breaks available, from a parent & child three day adventure, to a father & son camping trip!
If you don’t want to stay the night, then you can also do a ‘Single Day’ with us. Our most popular activities are Gorge Walking, Climbing and Caving all based within the stunning Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.
Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement celebrating outdoor play and learning. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, children are spending less time outdoors which ultimately affects their health and wellbeing.
Teachers are allocated two days each year to take children outdoors to play and learn. The next available date is 21st May 2021.

Our local school Ysgol Y Cribarth visited us on the 15th October for a fun, outdoor learning experience in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons)!
The activity day consisted of crate stacking, orienteering, team building & a hill walk.

A lot of people in the UK are taking stag and hen dos abroad when they don’t want to. Why wing it, when all you want to do is be with your friends and have a good time?
During January this year, we ran two competitions, a “Parent And Child Break” for one parent and one child, the other for a “Canyoning Trip” for two people. We announce the winners of both competitions below.
Valentines day is the most popular day of the year to propose. One man took it to the next level when he proposed to his girlfriend on a canyoning trip in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and the whole thing was caught on camera. You can’t fault the location but did she say yes?
Almost 50% of flights British men from 20-45 took last year were for stag dos. The results were similar for the ladies, as hen dos accounted for a third of the flights taken by the same aged women.
Lovely to see the Royal family arranging their leaving party now Harry and Meghan have announced they will be spending 6 months of year in America.
