According to Money Saving Expert on behalf of an Aviva Survey, attending someone’s Stag or Hen weekend can cost an astounding £779 pp to stay in the UK on average, and £1,208 pp to go abroad.How To Plan A Hen Party That’ll Please An Active Bride - Accommodation

The survey states that men tend to spend more than women at £920 on average, while women typically pay £652 for stag or hen celebrations in the UK.

If the celebrations are abroad, men spend £1,256 on average while women spend £1,158 typically.


The Brecon Beacons National Park Reclaims Its Name

Bannau Brycheiniog

As of April 2023, the ‘Brecon Beacons’ National Park has officially reclaimed its Welsh name – Bannau Brycheiniog. The new name took place on the 66th anniversary and is pronounced Ban-eye Bruck-ein-iog. The name is derived from the plural of ‘ban’, meaning ‘peak’ while ‘Brycheiniog’ refers to the old kingdom of King Brychan. Translated, it means ‘The Peaks of Brychan’s  Kingdom’.

The focus of the event was to unite all Women Engineers within Amazon across the UK, to build relationships and empower women within engineering roles.

Holiday firms are reporting a spike in bookings from people aged 50+ ‘Silver Tourists’ since the Covid-19 vaccination rollout began.

Currently, travel for leisure & tourism is banned due to lockdown rules. However, the launch of Covid jabs has led some people who are prioritised for the vaccine to book long awaited trips!

We’re Celebrating Outdoor Classroom Day!

Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement celebrating outdoor play and learning.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, children are spending less time outdoors which ultimately affects their health and wellbeing.

Teachers are allocated two days each year to take children outdoors to play and learn. The next available date is 21st May 2021.

Local School Has Adventure Day

Our local school Ysgol Y Cribarth visited us on the 15th October for a fun, outdoor learning experience in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons)!

The activity day consisted of crate stacking, orienteering, team building & a hill walk.
