Behind Enemy Lines Online Themed Corporate Event

The Outdoor Indoor Interactive Corporate Event

Our behind enemy lines themed fun corporate event is an interactive half-day or full day designed to be fun, challenging and exciting. It can help improve team performance and motivation or just be used as a get together for some fun with colleagues or clients. We have translated the actual scenario based event which usually take place on the ground in Wales to an online equivalent. However we have sought to retain the philosophy and approach to our events in this online version by:-

  • Making it interactive and collaborative;
  • Bringing our stunning green playground of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) in Wales  into your your home;
  • Ensuring it’s task based not death by PowerPoint;
  • Having you complete fun games, tasks, and challenges.

We’ve done this by spending hours recording video and blending this with this scenario based outdoor indoor themed event.

“I have already recommended this to my colleagues within my two hours of finishing.” Delegate from a Engineering Company, June, 2021

The Unique Online Corporate Event

A fun, exciting and team based scenario where you and the team have to journey across Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) whilst completing tasks and challenges to obtain clues. If you solve tasks you get  co-ordinates to help find a downed pilot who’s plane has crashed in the wild Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Your assignment is to find the pilot as quickly as possible and extricate him from the mountains.

“It provided the challenge in my own home. It brought the intensity of the caves into my bedroom… .” Delegate, Engineering Company, Oct 2020

Key Ingredients

Online learning

The day includes entering caves and navigating  following the videos and making decisions as to the direction of travel based on maps you have been given. You get to choose where you go! You also have to cross a river and then search for the pilot in the mountains – virtually!

“Really enjoyed the Behind Enemy lines, felt that this day really helped us with our team building skills and I think everyone on the course really liked it.
Also, it was just plain fun. It had a good mix between real life skills and puzzle solving, the caving video was inspired, and I would gladly do something like it again just for the sake of it!” Delegate, Government Organisation, April 2021

Make An Event of It

We can even supply the drinks! For an extra fee of £25pp we can send a selection of ready made cocktails out to all participants (UK price). So during the challenges you can all partake of a drink to make it a real shared experience.

Themed Adventure Walks

Guided Walks in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons)

We have a range of stunning walks available for this Autumn so why not book yourself on for a memorable experience in the wilds of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons). Take a look at the 3 options below which are now available.

Walk 1 – The Four Waterfalls

View the spectacular and world famous four waterfalls and actually walk behind the highest in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons)! How would you like to walk behind this waterfall?

This is a full day walk and require a reasonable level of fitness. However you don’t have to be a mountain goat as we use well defined, albeit slightly uneven, paths to access the waterfalls. Good walking boots are ideal and don’t forget to charge your phone to ensure you can take all the photos!

Walk 2 – The High and Lows of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons)

Climb the highest and lowest mountains in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons). We all know that Pen y Fan is the highest mountain in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) at 886m but do you know what the lowest is? Well depending on what definition you use its’ Garreg Lwyd in the Western Beacons at 616m. Be one of the first to join a unique band to have done both in the same day!

sunrise over pen y fan

Pen y Fan is spectacular at any time of the year but now is a good time as the crowds have gone.

Walk 3 – Remote Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons)

The mountainous areas of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park are without question an outstanding area for all those who love walking in the hills. However, these mountains hide a harsher and more sinister side.  In bad weather conditions, this area can be  harsh and unforgiving.  It is not just by accident therefore, that the Special Air Service (SAS), choose this part of Wales for much of their training and selection process.  Over thirty aircraft crash sites are recorded within the Park.

This walk takes place in the one of the remotest parts of the Park way off the beaten track and the furthest from any road of settlement. It takes in two aircraft crash sites, sink holes, ancient standing stones and stunning views. A full day.

The crash site of Wellington Bomber MF509, at Garreg Goch (Red Stone), in the western Beacons,  still has a great deal of wreckage.  On the night of 20th November 1944, Wellington MF509 from 22 Operational Training Unit, Wellesbourne, Mountford, on a cross country exercise, developed trouble in the starboard Hercules XVI engine and flew into shower clouds, building up heavy layers of ice on the wings.  With insufficient power from the port engine, the aircraft lost height and crashed into Garreg Goch killing all six Canadian crew members.

Accommodation can be provided if you would like to stay the night. Ask for further details.

This is our second time and we enjoyed it so much and looking to book another event for next year. Please thank the team for helping to create such wonderful experiences. Also Graham’s influence on my son and foraging for food has now become something he wants to explore more. Hope to see you and the team again for some more Call of the Wild adventures.- M Patel, August 2024

It was a great weekend highlight for us was the gorge walking great fun and the scenery was epic for the UK, food was excellent too very generous, so all in all fantastic. Keep up the good work we will be back. – A Carpenter, August 2024

Many thanks for a great weekend, my son and myself both enjoyed the event greatly. ALL the instructors were great, very professional and attentive. Food was excellent and Jackie is a great cook.  She went to extra lengths to ensure that my son had a gluten free alternative. Activities were perfect; the 3 main events, hiking, gorge walking and climbing were well organized.  The additional events; fire starting, crate building and archery were great fun too. Very good value for money!   Not quite sure how you do it at the price we paid!! Overall a really brilliant time and you are lucky to have such great staff in a great location.  Some of the memories will remain with us for a lifetime.- D Heney, August 2024

Reviews

”I thought the Father & Son break was fantastic. We had never done anything like it before, but our inexperience wasn’t an issue and we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The whole break was incredibly well organised. The instructors were friendly and encouraging. I would highly recommend it”. S. Corbett – 2019

”We all really enjoyed our experience this year. The boys enjoyed being with other kids their ages and exploring together. Loved the hike and map reading, loved the gorge walking and climbing. I thought the crate building was genius. All the instructors were great, confident, clearly very experienced and fun. Took the Dads a bit longer to warm up, but that’s just grownups – right? It was nice to chat with everyone and share parenting experiences. Lots of similarities which was comforting. Great trip. Thoroughly enjoyed. Not sure on our summer plans in 2020 yet, but would certainly recommend if asked”. A. Odds – 2019

Spooky Guided Tour

Swansea is steeped in history with a medieval castle and with it’s martime history the  harbour and maritime quarter. Let’s not forget it also has one of the oldest pubs in Wales dating back to 1332. From a pre-historic settlement and hideout for Viking invaders, to home of the world’s first railway service, Swansea has an absorbing history. Swansea was once called Sweins eg or ey, which means Swein’s island. The island stood in the mouth of the River Tawe.

The town of Swansea was founded in the early 12th century when the Normans conquered the area. The Norman lord built a wooden castle which was rebuilt in stone in the early 13th century.  At one time the most powerful seaport in the world and one of Britain’s foremost copper producers the city has a rich industrial heritage. More recently it suffered at the hands of the Germans during WW2 when during February 1941 the city centre and surrounding area was decimated in bombing raids. We’ll take you to all the spooky locations and recite some of the associated ghostly tales.

What To Bring
