Clay pigeon shooting involves clay circular targets, known as clay pigeons being catapulted into the air to imitate pigeons, or shot along the ground, to imitate rabbits, by ‘traps’, small machines that propel the clays at speed. Competitors then attempt to shoot the clay pigeons using shotguns.

No previous experience is required to take part in this activity so give it a go! The next Olympics are only 4 years away so you’ve enough time to make the team!

Accommodation

You will stay at our legendary Merlins or similar (Subject to availability). This remains one of our most popular venues for our groups who choose stay due to its friendly, lively and hospitable atmosphere. You are guaranteed a warm welcome as you will be met by our staff. The accommodation has a bar which stays open late for residents, is situated in a lively town 20 minutes off the M4 at Swansea and just on the southern edge of the Brecon Beacons. Merlins has 9 en-suite rooms containing bunkbeds.

Food

All included so you don’t have to worry about finding anywhere for your group to eat.

Transport

To and from activity venues. It’s difficult enough in an unfamiliar place to find a venue with a map or sat nav when you have a group of loud lads in the car. Therefore this option makes sense.

Tripadvisor Reviews

" The hotel and all the staff were lovely! A great atmosphere and the rooms were very good, exactly what we needed. Breakfast was spot on, and again the staff couldn’t be more helpful! James and Ben really need a huge shout out from us, they by far made the trip for us! Both super welcoming when we arrived for the caving, super clear instruction and support throughout the day, and best of all they seemed to show a genuine interest in everyone on the activity and made us all feel very at home despite being out of our comfort zones. The caving itself was brilliant and the lunch was much better than we expected, huge thanks for that! The canyoning was incredible, again James and Ben were amazing, super helpful with the equipment and getting us all settled into the water whilst keeping us all safe throughout! The whole weekend was absolutely faultless and we are already looking to see if we can book something similar in the future. "
