The Hobbit Weekend

The Hobbit Themed  Unexpected Weekend

Are you looking to try something different, have an unforgettable time and memories for a lifetime. Well to coincide with the release of Peter Jackson’s film “The Hobbit – An Unexpected Journey” on 13th December 2012 we’ve put together this themed Hobbit weekend. It gives you the opportunity to sample for yourself some of the scrapes and adventures experienced by the characters in the film. As you know the story is about a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, who  journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug.

What Do You Get for Your Hobbit Unexpected Weekend?

Firstly, we’ll give all the group organisers (the person making the booking) a copy of the book “The Hobbit”. Then during the weekend you’ll be able to try a caving activity to experience those emotions that Bilbo felt when first encountering Gollum.  Also you’ll get the opportunity to see what its like to follow the course of a river whilst  tobogganing down chutes and waterfalls just as Bilbo and the Dwarves did when escaping in barrels from the Wood Elves. For this you’ll be taking part in our canyoning activity ( see video below).

Enjoy the great outdoor playground that is Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), share new experiences and leave with lifetime memories. What better way of getting to know how the characters are feeling than by tackling new challenges such as caving and canyoning .
