Great Ideas for Family Holidays in the UK

It is getting increasingly difficult to spend quality time with growing children. It also seems that year on year children become increasingly divorced from the outdoor environment with their world becoming ever more sanitised and risk averse. For instance whatever happened to traditional activities such as climbing a tree? Adventure Britain have therefore come up with an  activity break during the school holidays just for parents and children whether it be fathers or mothers and daughters or mothers and sons set in the stunning natural adventure playground, Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.

In 2023 96.7% of our customers rated their activities with us good or excellent in terms of their overall experience and value for money.

Parent and Child Activity Packages

It’s a difficult task trying to find something to excite an inspire young children in this iPod and social media era. It’s even more difficult to find something active to do together. We have arranged hundreds of activity breaks over the last 20 years and have the experience, local knowledge and the resources to ensure you have the best time possible at value for money prices. You don’t want the hassle of pulling everything together which is why we have put together this all inclusive package which include your accommodation, activities, all your food and transport whilst with us.

“We had an amazing time. Our favourite activity was the gorge walking. The staff were brilliant, venue well resourced, food plentiful and the tents managed to withstand a battering from the wind and rain. I’ve been telling my mum friends that we should book up a mam and son’s weekend together. I’ll definitely be recommending others to sign up, it was such fun and value for money.” C O’Leary, 2023

”We both loved it, we really did. I will recommend to my friends and I’d also be interested in doing it again.” M Leaver, 2023

Gorge Walking

The best way of describing our activity is a river adventure . With our guides, you travel through a steep sided gorge following the course of the river by various ways and means. This can involve sliding down rapids, swimming down rapids, floating down fast flowing chutes and waves, climbing beside waterfalls and of course jumping off those adrenalin pumping 20ft ledges into deep pool.

Rock Climbing UK

Climbing is a rock activity. What goes up must come down – well firmly attached to a rope anyway. A great way of seeing the majestic Brecon Beacons National Park scenery & that of the Gower- even hanging upside down. Rock climbing in Wales is about putting on a climbing harness and enjoying yourself in the outdoors on boulders and outcrops, in old quarries and sea cliffs and remote mountain crags.
