Great Ideas for Family Holidays in the UK

It is getting increasingly difficult to spend quality time with growing children. It also seems that year on year children become increasingly divorced from the outdoor environment with their world becoming ever more sanitised and risk averse. For instance whatever happened to traditional activities such as climbing a tree? Adventure Britain have therefore come up with an  activity break during the school holidays just for parents and children whether it be fathers or mothers and daughters or mothers and sons set in the stunning natural adventure playground, Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.

In 2021 98% of our customers rated their activities with us good or excellent in terms of their overall experience and value for money.

”We absolutely loved every minute and cannot think of a single improvement! All staff were helpful, knowledgeable and always smiling… wish we could come back!” K. Blackburn May 2021

”I booked this for my step-son and grandson, but meanwhile I can tell you that, without doubt, they both had an absolute ball! They both faced some longstanding fears and felt really pleased with what they had achieved. They repeatedly expressed how grateful they were to all the staff/facilitators who consistently went the extra mile for them. They returned home extremely tired but still buzzing from there experience. Thank you so much ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️” C. Jones May 2021

”The trip was great as usual. This was my third trip and I have enjoyed it every single time, so have the children and other members of our group. There are so many positives, the set up, staff, facilities I would give this a five star rating every time”. D. Johnson August 2021

”To say we enjoyed it was an understatement. It was fantastic. This was in part due to the fantastic other participants we met, but also due to your staff and outline for the program. The activities were planned excellently with room to explore without feeling pressured and options to take it easy if tired. The food was good and the campsite was wonderful. The cost of the holiday was accessible even to a single parent like myself and I would recommend it to anyone with high accolades”. K. Teele August 2021

Gorge Walking

The best way of describing our activity is a river adventure . With our guides, you travel through a steep sided gorge following the course of the river by various ways and means. This can involve sliding down rapids, swimming down rapids, floating down fast flowing chutes and waves, climbing beside waterfalls and of course jumping off those adrenalin pumping 20ft ledges into deep pool.

Rock Climbing UK

Climbing is a rock activity. What goes up must come down – well firmly attached to a rope anyway. A great way of seeing the majestic Brecon Beacons National Park scenery & that of the Gower- even hanging upside down. Rock climbing in Wales is about putting on a climbing harness and enjoying yourself in the outdoors on boulders and outcrops, in old quarries and sea cliffs and remote mountain crags.
