Filming the Gadget Show for Channel 5
On 5th January 2010 Dave Thomas from Call of the Wild was invited by Mykel Hawke (Mykel Hawke is a world-known survival expert, best-selling author, television and film personality and advisor) to attend a filming event as part of his team to hunt down 4 personalities from the Channel 5 TV programme “The Gadget Show”. the presenters were Ortis Deley, Jon Bently, Suzy Perry, and Jason Bradbury in the wilds of Bassett’s Pole near Sutton Coldfield.
A series of gadgets were deployed by both hunters and the hunted to assist in their quest to either capture or to escape (in the case of the Gadget show team). Teams deployed in the early hours in cool but clear conditions and continued their quest in increasing snowfall and sub zero temperatures. Dave’s main adversary was TV personality Ortis Deley who deployed dastardly tactics (and gadgets) in his attempts to shake Dave off his trail.
Did he get away…?
You will need to tune in to The Gadget Show on Monday 22nd Feb at 8pm to find out!
