What is Survival and Bushcraft?

Survival skills are skills that will help you to survive in dangerous situations or in dangerous places such as jungles and deserts. Skills such as firelighting, finding and making a shelter are usual areas to cover.

This course will raise your awareness of how reliant we are on modern conveniences such as a kettle. This introductory activity will provide you with basic bushcraft survival skills.

Who Can Do Survival and Bushcraft?

Bushcraft is an activity suitable for all ages and abilities.

Where Can I do it ?

Call of the Wild’s sessions take place in the wonderful Gower Peninsula, Wales.

Duration/Length of the Survival session?

This is variable depending on the size, nature of the group, nature of the event and the prevailing weather conditions on the day. However, sessions are usually 10.30am – 5pm.

When can I do it?

We operate our survival sessions in Gower, Wales all year. Obviously if you propose to do this over the winter then your shelter building needs to be good.

What will I have to Wear for my Session?

A full kit list will be issued upon booking. We recommend that you bring snacks, a drink, and old warm clothes. No jeans. As to footwear , good fitting wellies or walking boots. Waterproofs and anything you don’t mind getting dirty and muddy.

Can I Use a Camera?

Yes you can as there will be an opportunity to take photos. Why not use our photographer to capture those stag parties, outdoor team building events or special birthday moments.
