“I wanted to write a message to thank you for a fantastic weekend. As best man I arranged a stag weekend for 17 people, including a stay at Merlins, quad biking and canyoning. The service from start to finish was excellent, showing me flexibility when needed. Tudor and Joyce at the booking office were efficient and helpful. Ger was very welcoming and made us feel ready for the weekend straight away. The location in Ystradgynlais was perfect, and we enjoyed our night there as much as we enjoyed Swansea. Our particular highlight was the Canyoning which was a real rush! The staff made it funny, thrilling and safe. They took great care of us. “My group of 7 have just come back from a canyoning/caving activity weekend and I thought that you’d appreciate some feedback.
The whole weekend was superbly organized and very slick. Pick ups were bang on time and drivers helpful and friendly (even when we changed the pre-arranged pick up time from Swansea). On Sunday we were due to do Porth-y-Ogof but because of heavy rain it was necessary to go to another cave. Our driver was redirected en-route and linked up with the instructor without faff or delay, very impressive. Even booking has been straightforward and clear.
Every single one of the instructors was well equipped, professional and extremely safety conscious but always had in mind that we were they to have fun. The corporate look (Call of the Wild fleeces, sign written minibuses etc) and decent quality kit added to the feeling of being well looked after.
I can’t speak highly enough of the staff. They were friendly, accommodating and attentive. The food was just what a group of guys need – filling, unfussy, great quality and plenty of it. In short the service was consistently excellent.
The most impressive thing about the weekend was the value for money. £185 for an unforgettable experience in fantastic surroundings can’t be beaten. My guys particularly commented on the lack of ‘hidden extras’.This, as well as the above points, all helped create the feel of genuinely being valued as customers. I think this is the reason you have built up a fair bit of ‘brand loyalty’ from the other groups we talked to on the activities.

“We had a fabulous weekend, thank you very much. Everything went like clockwork and, as Best Man, I couldn’t have wished for a better result. I must say that you and Call of the Wild in general have been absolutely fantastic and I can’t praise your service highly enough. The hotel was perfect, the caving activity was brilliant and Swansea was a first-class location for stag parties.
Please pass on our thanks to Mike, James, Lee for the way they conducted the caving. They were extremely professional and we all felt very safe under their watch. We were all hugely impressed by the caves and throroughlly enjoyed the caving experience. The Swansea night-life was very good, too. We had a superb meal in La Parilla on Saturday night and we found it very easy getting from the hotel to the various bars in and around Wind Street. And as we are all used to paying vastly inflated prices for drinks, it was a welcome change to order a round of 16 drinks in Oceana night club and still get change from a £20 note!!

“I recently returned from an adventure holiday in New Zealand where I went canyoning and caving and the guides over there asked me why I had come to New Zealand to try canyoing when Call of the Wild in Wales do canyoning in the Brecon Beacons. When back I booked a day canyoning with Call of the Wild as a joint birthday present for my father and brother. The scenery was every bit as good and the activity just as exciting (and wet!).
