What is Coasteering?
Coasteering is known by a number of different terms such as adventure swimming, sea-level traversing and cliff jumping. It can be a combined rock and water based activity. Coasteering is a physical activity that encompasses movement along the intertidal zone of a rocky coastline on foot or by swimming, without the aid of boats, surf boards or other craft. It is a high adrenaline day.

What Will I Be Doing During the Coasteering Session?
Coasteering in Wales involves swimming, jumping off cliffs into the sea, scrambling along the rocks as the waves crash in, screaming, crying, laughing out loud are all part and parcel of this superb natural activity. Less coast more roller coaster!
Who Can Do Coasteering?
Coasteering in South Wales is a great group activity but one which is only suitable for strong, fit swimmers as this is a physically demanding activity. However it is one which gives you a really high adrenaline buzz for its duration. It is a fantastic activity for groups
Where Can I do Coasteering?
Call of the Wild’s coasteering sessions take place on the Gower, Swansea, Wales. The first place in the UK to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You’ll appreciate why if you experience it. This stunning part of South Wales is characterised by a combination of sandy beaches and rugged coastline and is the ideal location for coasteering.
Duration/Length of the Coasteering session?
This is variable depending on the size, nature of the group, nature of the event and the prevailing weather conditions on the day. As a guide, the coasteering session would normally last around 3 -4 hours.

When can I do Coasteering?
We operate our coasteering sessions in Wales all year. However this activity is weather and tide dependent.

What will I have to Wear for Coasteering?
For your coasteering session in Wales we will provide you with a full kit list upon booking. For guidance, we will provide you with a helmet, buoyancy aid and wet suit.
Good Combination of Activities
Coasteering in Wales is suitable for combination with other activities for weekends or longer duration visits. It can be combined with any of the range of activities available whether it be caving, canyoning, gorge walking, climbing, paintball, quad biking and clays.

Can I Use a Camera?
There is very little opportunity apart from the beginning and the end of the session. If you have a waterproof disposable camera then this is the best to bring along.
Take Away a Video or Photos
In certain circumstances we can arrange for your group to filmed but this is only by prior arrangement.
Wouldn’t it be great to have those visual images to show at the reception for stag parties, show back in the office following an outdoor team building event or to keep as a memory of those special occasions such as 40th birthdays.
