Case Studies

Here are some examples of the type of events people have booked with us and why.

Stag Weekend

Nick Green came on a stag party weekend with Call of the Wild in October 2010. He had arranged the event for the Groom, David Roberts. Nick was the bestman. This is a short interview we did with Nick.

How did you find us?

I had a recommendation from a friend and then looked for your website.

Did you consider any other options for the Stag Party?

Yes we contacted a couple of companies and considered going somewhere in Europe such as Prague and Barcelona.

Why did you choose Call of the Wild?

We couldn’t get all the group to go to Europe due to the cost and time off work. I also liked the fact that you created the weekend itinerary for me and I didn’t have to do much – it was also cheaper.

What are your impressions of the weekend?

First class all round. I think we all agreed it was a top weekend and good value.

Corporate Team Development Event

corporate-team-development-smlEighty-five (85) employees of BMW/MINI participated the Outdoor Management Development session conducted by “Call of the Wild”. There were seven teams from the different divisions of BMW/MINI from across the UK including Sheffield, The City of London and Surrey. This session involved participants working as members of a team in a variety of challenges.

The objective was to develop skills that would prove valuable if they could be transferred back to the workplace environment. It was shown the session had a positive effect upon those taking part, in terms of enhanced levels of trust and co-operation between team members. It was also suggested that many of the effects of this session were enduring, and that these skills successfully transferred back to the workplace environment, resulting in an enhanced level of individual and team performance within the organisational setting.

“Call of the Wild designed, developed and delivered a superb team building event for the Sytner BMW/MINI Division. We were delighted with their speed and professionalism in working up a programme for the 85 managers concerned” Sue Sansome, Sytner Group

Activity Break and Holiday

maes-y-fron-2Cerian Roberts was looking to celebrate her 40th birthday by doing something out of the ordinary with her friends She wanted them to come together for a celebration but as so many of her friends were also having their 40th in the same year she “…didn’t want the same get together in another hotel again where you just eat and drink too much.” She wanted the good food and drink but “…after doing something wacky or different in the day.”

canyoning2096-smlAdventure Britain put together a package weekend for Cerian which satisfied her wish list. Cerian stayed at our 200 year old converted farmhouse in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, our catering staff prepared dinner for her and guests and we arranged a canyoning session, clay pigeon shooting and a guided hill walk out of the farm onto the stunning Black Mountain.

“I would like to thank everyone at Adventure Britain for making my birthday so memorable. Everyone who attended said that of the all the 40th birthdays they went to this year this was the one they enjoyed the most so thanks again. See you for my 41st!” Cerian Roberts, Barnstaple

Sports Tour

quadbiking-062-smlKevin Patey of Heath Rovers Football team in Bishops Stortford, Herts wanted to arrange a weekend away with some of his friends from the team. Rather than go on the traditional end of season jaunt he wanted to arrange something different. So he booked with Call of the Wild’s Adventure Britain.

We arranged budget accommodation for the team, organised a football match against a local team together with quad biking and paintballing.
