Coming Out Of Lockdown – Tips For Staying Safe

As restrictions are easing, organised outdoor activities are now able to take place, alongside overnight stays for groups of six or two households. Hospitality venues can also reopen indoors as well as organised indoor sport.

Despite the restrictions easing, it is important to stay cautious and meet people outdoors as much as possible.

Here in Wales, wooden love spoons are carved and given as gifts on Valentine’s Day.

Hearts, keys and keyholes are favourite Valentine decorations on the wooden spoons. These symbols meant the heart would be unlocked for love.

Covid Vaccine Sparks Confidence in Staycations

Holiday firms are reporting a spike in bookings from people aged 50+ ‘Silver Tourists’ since the Covid-19 vaccination rollout began.

Currently, travel for leisure & tourism is banned due to lockdown rules. However, the launch of Covid jabs has led some people who are prioritised for the vaccine to book long awaited trips!

We have a range of activity breaks available, from a parent & child three day adventure, to a father & son camping trip!

If you don’t want to stay the night, then you can also do a ‘Single Day’ with us. Our most popular activities are Gorge Walking, Climbing and Caving all based within the stunning Bannau Brycheiniog  (Brecon Beacons) National Park.


We’re Celebrating Outdoor Classroom Day!

Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement celebrating outdoor play and learning.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, children are spending less time outdoors which ultimately affects their health and wellbeing.

Teachers are allocated two days each year to take children outdoors to play and learn. The next available date is 21st May 2021.

Local School Has Adventure Day

Our local school Ysgol Y Cribarth visited us on the 15th October for a fun, outdoor learning experience in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons)!

The activity day consisted of crate stacking, orienteering, team building & a hill walk.

International Film Festival Puts Neath Port Talbot On The Movie Map

A great article from “Business News Wales” about the 2019 Wales International Film Festival (WIFF) held in Neath brought film makers and other visitors to the town from as far afield as Canada, the USA, China, Holland, France, Hawaii and Japan as well as from other parts of the UK.

A total of 72 films were screened at the two-day festival held at Neath’s Gwyn Hall in September while there were eight workshops.
