What will I be doing during the mountain walking?
You will be guided by our qualified instructors and can either just enjoy the scenery or pick up some mountain skills such as navigation and map reading. On your mountain walks you’ll be amazed by the stunning views as a new vista appears around every corner or over the next brow of the hill. Our mountain guides have extensive local knowledge so will be explaining about mans influence through the ages on the landscape, it geology and geography, flora and fauna.
“I fully enjoyed every part. You really made this a great weekend.” Chris Nicholson
Who can do mountain and hill walking in Wales?
Mountain walking or hill walking is suitable for all ages and abilities. It is an excellent activity for both adults and children. For younger children we start them with less physically demanding walks and can tailor the walk to meet your needs. Using our local knowledge we can choose a suitable hill walk or a more demanding mountain walk.
Guided Mountain Walks?
Our mountain walks take place in the Brecon Beacons National Park, the nearest wilderness National Park to London and the South East. We also use the Gower Peninsula, which was the first place in the UK to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which has some fantastic coastal walks and world famous beaches .
Duration/Length of the mountain walking?
This is variable depending on the size, nature of the group, nature of the event and the prevailing weather conditions on the day. As a guide, mountain walks would normally last around 3 – 4 hours. The walk can be tailored to meet your needs and abilities to ensure you get the maximum amount of enjoyment out of the day.
